José Quintino, Lda is a civil construction and public works company based in Olhão, with over 40 years of experience. Founded in 1983 by Mr. José Quintino as a sole proprietorship, the company grew steadily through hard work and strong results, expanding its client base until, on 5 April 2001, it was registered as José Quintino, Lda — marking a new stage of growth driven by increasing demand and the need to establish itself firmly in the market.
José Quintino, Lda holds Construction Licence No. 45187, Class 5, and was a pioneer in quality certification in the Algarve region, among the first in the civil construction industry to achieve ISO 9001 certification, in August 2008. This certification led to the implementation of training in construction methods and occupational health and safety — particularly on-site safety — along with internal records and verification procedures for all work carried out, ensuring we consistently exceed client expectations.
The demands of an increasingly competitive market, decades of accumulated know-how, a broad and varied portfolio of completed projects, and a team of qualified professionals dedicated to quality, environmental and safety standards have shaped our specialisation in civil construction and public works — namely building construction, infrastructure, property conservation and maintenance, painting, machinery services, asphalt works, and specialised training, including asbestos handling and removal.
